A little news goes a long way...
We have sold our darling Platina, who by the time we deliver her with her new owners to the Virgin Islands, she will have taken us over 12,000 nautical miles. 16 countries. The places we have seen, the things we have learned. Nothing can replace this experience.
Except maybe living in New York.
Chis has accepted a position heading Marketing for Fiduciary Trust, a high net worth investment company in New York City. Yes, we are moving to New York at the beginning of May.
The next chapter unfolds...
If you plan to visit, bring socks. We expect to be living in a shoe.
Meanwhile, we continue sailing and training the new owners until the middle of April, so keep your ears on the Platina website for more pictures and stories.

Felicitations! If you have to hit land, NYC is not a bad way to go. I must admit however that I am sorry to hear that I won't be able to welcome Platina to Sydney Harbour - we've left the light on for you.
I hope to be in Canada in September and with any luck will hop down to Boston and NYC for a few days. Will let you know if I am in town.
Best wishes on your next adventure.

My casa et su casa (or something like that). Sorry to see the brick shithouse go, but looking forward to getting you guys out sailing on the Hudson regularly.
Let me know if you need any help at all with logistics and local knowledge. I know realtors, movers, etc.. etc.. etc... But, put those thoughts off and just sail for as long as you can!
Wish I was there.

Hi Chis,
Congratulations on the move to New York! Julie and I read your log with much interest. Looing forward to hearing about the leg to the VI's, as I think you know we chartered there a few weeks ago from the Moorings and had a fabulous time. We are very envious! Good Luck to you both!

I have followed your saga with great interest as I lack the balls to ever have such an adventure. Sorry that it is going to come to an end but..
NYC what great news and close enough to Toronto to come to the opera!
We are in the big apple at least twice a year so look forward to knowing someone there to tell us what the hot spots are!
All the best to you both.
